“Released” describes a departure from one custodian, not always a return home. Read Ector County Release Paperwork

The distinction between an event and physical movement matters. A judge may dismiss a count while another hold remains. A bond may be approved before processing ends. For a state case, a projected date or favorable parole code is not an actual gate release. Ask the record holder for the precise status language and do not expand it.

Do not treat the two procedures as synonyms. The order entered in the individual case controls what an agency may release. When a search result and court restriction appear inconsistent, use the clerk’s official case record and the agency that maintains the custody file rather than an older copy from elsewhere.
Find Released Ector County Inmates
Start with the agency that last held the person. The official Ector jail search is a present-custody lead, but it redirected to a login and then returned an access error during research on August 2, 2026. No official rolling release feed was verified. A missing entry could mean release, transfer, lag, or a name mismatch.

For a three-day range, name the exact dates in the ID&R request and compare them with docket activity.

Ector County Pretrial Release
Ector County Pretrial Services interviews defendants at the jail each day. The office is not a bonding company, and a judge must approve a pretrial bond. Its published charge is 3 percent of the bond amount. Approval explains the legal route, but ECSO remains the source for the time when all holds cleared and the person physically left.

Exact search labels are Last Name, First Name, TDCJ Number, SID Number, Gender, and Race. A search needs the last name plus at least a first initial, a TDCJ number alone, or an SID number alone. Last-name matching is exact.

For past state custody, email pia@tdcj.texas.gov with the full name and seven-digit TDCJ number. Without that number, give the exact birth date, or approximate age and county of conviction, and place the name in the subject. The no-charge response may include incarceration history and a projected date, but not photographs. A projected date is an estimate, not proof of actual release.
Verify Ector County Release Supervision
Parole and probation are not interchangeable. The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles decides parole and mandatory-supervision matters, while the TDCJ Parole Division supervises people after those releases. Ector County Community Supervision and Corrections Department handles probation ordered by local courts. Probation is a court sentence served under community rules; parole follows release from a prison term.

Ector County Property Release Rules
ECSO publishes a Prisoner’s Property Release Form. The Detention Bureau says non-clothing property may be released with the confined person’s approval. Selective release needs Administration approval, and funds may go to immediate family with approval. These rules concern property while someone is confined and do not state the final-discharge procedure.
Ask the jail how remaining property is returned at exit. Property authorization does not establish that the person has been released, and collecting belongings does not resolve whether another agency received custody.

A transfer alert is not a community release. The downtown Ector County Correctional Center is not the county jail.
